THE ART BRUT MISSION

Outsiders. Rebels. Renegades. Micro budget. No budget. Independent. Free. Art Brut was founded to connect audiences to unique, independent, artist-driven visions originating outside of the Hollywood system without apology or reservation. 

To that end, Art Brut develops, produces, distributes and sells truly independent cinema.

Art Brut was founded in 2023 by entertainment industry veteran Elliot Gipson. Mr. Gipson produced the indie drama Charliebird, which won the Founders Award for Best Picture in US Narrative Competition at Tribeca Festival in June 2025. Mr. Gipson produces low budget and studio fare through Art School Pictures, established in 2025.
